The campaign to tackle the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in Medway has continued with the execution of multiple search warrants.
The enforcement was completed on Thursday 30 January 2025 with officers simultaneously searching three addresses under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Constables seized mobile phones, a quantity of cash and some herbal cannabis. Three suspects were detained and taken into custody.
Caleb Griffiths, 23, of Bridge Road, Gillingham; Jacob Laws, 22, of Tennyson Avenue, Cliffe Woods; and Sam Gilbert, 18, of Bettescombe Road, Rainham, were later charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, between 30 November 2024 and 30 January 2025.
Mr Laws was also charged with possession of cannabis and possessing criminal property (namely the seized cash).
All three suspects appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 31 January. They were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 28 February.
