Charges have been secured against two men the day after they were accused of robbing two teenagers in Maidstone.
At around 5.15pm on Monday 18 November 2024, it is alleged the victims were approached by the suspects in Wyatt Street, who reportedly made threats and stole an electric bike.
The bike was recovered the following day and two people were arrested in connection with the incident.
Richard Lakeman, 22, of Northumberland Road, and Andrew Jalloh, 20, of Pudding Lane, were later charged with robbery.
Mr Lakeman appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 20 November and Mr Jalloh appeared before the same court the following day.
Both men remain in custody pending a further hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 16 December.
