Moped recovered and two arrests made in Gravesend

A moped reported stolen from a property in Truro Road has been recovered and two suspects arrested following swift action by neighbourhood officers in Gravesend.

Kent Police was called at 4.55pm on Tuesday 8 September 2026 following a report of a man acting suspiciously near a block of garages in Lamorna Avenue.

Officers attended the area and at around 5.10pm located a man nearby. Further enquiries led to the recovery of the moped which had been reported stolen from Truro Road the previous day.

Arrests

At around 5.50pm, a 30 year old man and a 21 year old man, both from Gravesend, were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Both suspects have since been bailed while enquiries continue.

The recovered moped has been returned to its owner.
