A stolen motorbike has been recovered by alert officers who spotted it being ridden without a number plate in Longfield.
The theft of the bike was reported from an address in Bexley after it was allegedly loaded into the rear of a van, on Saturday 18 January 2025.
Two days later a patrol in Station Road saw it pull up at a petrol station forecourt. The constables noted its missing number plate and approached the teenage boy who was riding it.
A search led to the seizure of a bag containing 24 deals of herbal cannabis and the teenager was arrested. The officers also seized two mobile phones, some cocaine and £60 in cash.
A 16 year old boy from Dartford was later charged with handling stolen property, possessing cannabis with intent to supply, possession of cocaine, disqualified driving and no insurance.
The teenager was bailed to appear before Medway Youth Court on Thursday 23 January.
