A stolen car spotted by patrols in Dartford was recovered following a police pursuit.
On Wednesday 5 January 2022, officers from the Tactical Operations Unit saw the car which they believed was stolen from London in November 2021.
They followed the vehicle coastbound from Dartford on the A2 and along Bluebell Hill before signalling for the driver to stop. The car carried on at speed and police were forced to use a stinger to bring the vehicle to a safe stop in East Farleigh.
The driver of the car then ran from police but was quickly caught by officers on foot and arrested on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle.
The 30-year-old man from Tonbridge was also detained on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.
He has been released on bail and enquiries remain ongoing with the Metropolitan Police to ensure the vehicle is returned to its owner.
