Multiple charges have been secured against a suspected jewellery thief from Ashford.
Kent Police received a report on Thursday 10 September 2026 that cash and other valuable items had been stolen from an address in the Tally Ho Road area of Shadoxhurst.
Officers attended and enquiries were carried out, leading to an arrest the following morning.
On Saturday 12 September, Shantel Brooker, of Falcon Way, Ashford, was charged with theft.
Ms Brooker, 37, was also charged with three further thefts. Two related to an allegation rings had been stolen from a property in High Halden on 31 July and on 7 August.
The third concerned a victim in Smeeth where several items were reportedly taken between 2 July and 11 August.
Ms Brooker appeared before Folkestone magistrates later that day and was bailed with conditions to the same court on 17 November.
