Multiple charges secured against suspected Hythe meat thief

Multiple charges have been secured against a suspected meat thief from Hythe following work by neighbourhood officers.

It was reported to Kent Police that the town’s Aldi store was targeted several times between April and July 2026.

Meat products were allegedly stolen including steak and beef joints, totalling more than £1,900.

Suspect charged

Enquiries were completed by officers, including speaking with witnesses and reviewing CCTV. An arrest was made in the High Street on Wednesday 12 August.

Later that day, Tristan Crisford, of Sir John Moore Avenue, Hythe was charged with eight counts of theft.

Mr Crisford, 25, was bailed with conditions to appear before Folkestone magistrates on 16 December.
