Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Dover.
Kent Police was called at 9.06am on Thursday 29 January 2026, following reports of an assault in a private address in Rose Gardens, Eythorne.
Officers attended alongside other emergency services, and a 25-year-old man was located with injuries consistent with stab wounds. The victim was treated by paramedics but was later confirmed deceased. His next of kin have been informed.
A man in his 60s from Dover, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
There will be an increased police presence in Eythorne as officers conduct their enquiries. A cordon at Rose Gardens will also remain in place overnight.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them. Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage.
