Nitrous oxide seized following reports from Gravesend residents

A large quantity of nitrous oxide was seized by officers in Gravesend following reports from residents about a suspicious vehicle.
Concerns were raised after a car was seen parked on Doria Drive for several weeks.
On Thursday 13 August 2026, officers attended and discovered 25 boxes of nitrous oxide concealed beneath a tarpaulin sheet on the vehicle's back seat.

Further enquiries led officers to search a property linked to the car's registered owner, where they seized multiple mobile phones, around £2,000 in cash and a further six boxes of nitrous oxide.
Arrest
A 19-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested on suspicion of drug offences. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
