Kent Police has successfully conducted a fourth road traffic policing operation in Thanet aimed at tackling illegal activities by delivery drivers.
The operation targeted delivery drivers operating without proper documentation, insurance, or licences. On Friday 26 September 2025 officers were stationed at Westwood Cross in Broadstairs in marked and unmarked vehicles. Through proactive stop checks, officers stopped a total of 45 vehicles and uncovered a range of offences:
Sergeant Jim Woodward said:
‘This operation is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping Thanet’s roads safe and ensuring delivery drivers are operating legally and responsibly. By taking direct action and removing illegal vehicles from the road, we are ensuring the safety of road users and the public alike.’
