A large-scale cannabis cultivation has been disrupted by officers in Dover.
At 12.49pm on Tuesday 9 September 2025, Kent Police officers attended a disused building on Coombe Valley Road, following concerns raised by a utility company regarding the electricity supply after they noticed a spike in the usage.
Upon entry, officers found more than 1,000 plants alongside an extensive ventilation system.
The premises has been secured, and an investigation is underway. No arrests have yet been made.
Anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the area, or who has private CCTV or doorbell footage which might assist, is urged to come forward. Those with information should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 09-0660.
