A suspected shop thief has been arrested in Maidstone following allegations a brick was used to also smash a window.
Attending officers located and detained the man within minutes of the disturbance, at a service station in Boxley Road.
Police were called to the premises at 2.50pm on Thursday 20 June 2024.
It is reported a person had stolen items including sweets and, after being challenged by staff and leaving, returned a short time later and damaged a door with a brick.
Officers carried out a search of the area and by 3.15pm they had arrested Keane Rogers.
The 38-year-old, of Waterloo Street, Maidstone was charged with theft and causing criminal damage.
He is bailed, with conditions, to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on 12 July.
