Two suspected burglars have been tracked down by determined patrols after addresses were targeted in Gillingham.
At around 6.45am on Sunday 27 April 2025, a man is reported to have tried door handles at a residential property in Harrow Road.
The suspect then got into a van which stopped further down the same road. It is alleged items including copper and a power tool were then stolen from two further addresses.
The police were alerted and officers completed enquiries into the movements of the van.
This led to a search in the Dartford area where the vehicle was located, parked and unattended, in St Johns Road.
The constables remained nearby and subsequently arrested two suspects. They also recovered copper piping, electrical cables and a Stihl chop saw.
Ionut Bohan, of Jessamine Place, Dartford and Eugen Stoian, of Darnley Road, Strood, were both charged by investigators with two burglaries, handling stolen property and two counts of receiving stolen property.
Mr Bohan, 20, and Mr Stoian, 25, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 29 April.
They were both remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday 27 May.
