A suspected drink driver who left the scene of an incident in Swale has been arrested with the assistance of Police Dog Kit.
Kent Police was called at 7.22pm on Sunday 4 May 2025 to a report of a collision involving a motorbike and two cars on Playstool Road, Newington.
Officers attended and spoke to those present. Serious injuries were not reported. A man who was reportedly riding the motorcycle left the scene on foot.
An off-duty officer, who also attended the scene, pursued the man before Police Dog Kit and his handler tracked him to a nearby location and he was detained.
A search led to the recovery of cannabis and drug-related items.
The suspect was arrested in connection with possession of cannabis and several driving offences, including failing to stop and drink driving.
He has since been bailed while enquiries continue.
