A suspected cocaine dealer is to appear in court following a proactive arrest in Tunbridge Wells.
At around 11.55am on Tuesday 4 January 2022, officers from the town’s Community Policing Team were on patrol in Mount Ephraim, when they spoke to the driver of a Mini that had stopped outside a hotel.
Suspecting he was involved in the supply of Class A drugs, the constables searched him under the Misuse of Drugs Act. They seized a quantity of cocaine deals and some cash.
The man was arrested and a search of a room in the hotel led to the recovery of more cocaine from inside a suitcase.
Sinan Kizil, of Napier Road, Newcastle upon Tyne was later charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
The 30-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 5 January where he was bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 2 February.
