Kent Police’s Rural Task Force are offering the rural community free property marking.
A new machine enables officers to mark metal, plastic and leather with the property name and postcode.
This can all be done at the farm or area where the equipment is stored and is designed to identify owners should an item be recovered by police.
This service is completely free, and officers have already marked various items to help identify stolen goods and return recovered items to their rightful owners.
Officers understand the upset that the loss of stolen machinery and other items can cause to the rural communities of Kent and urge people to get in touch and get important items marked.
If you are interested in having property marked free of charge please email [email protected]
Further tips on how to protect your property and equipment can be found on our rural crime prevention page.
