A nuisance motorbike in Ashford is now off the road thanks to work from the Road Safety Unit.
Officers were patrolling the area around the McArthurGlen shopping centre in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour on Wednesday 9 February 2022 using the marked and un-marked motorbikes.
They became aware of a motorbike being ridden at high speed. Following a search of the area, the rider was seen on the dual carriageway speeding in and out of traffic and pulling stand up wheelies.
The rider stopped at the traffic lights and was detained by an officer on the un-marked bike.
The bike was found to have no visible number plate and no insurance so was seized.
The rider, a 24-year-old man from Ashford was given a traffic offence report for no insurance and a section 59 warning. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving unfit through drugs and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
