Witnesses are sought after a suspected robbery gang was arrested following attempts to break into a storage area of a Sevenoaks phone shop.
The four suspects were detained on Friday 7 March 2025, after local beat officers responded to reports of suspicious activity in the High Street.
The alert was initially raised at around 4.30pm, when it is alleged three of the suspects wearing balaclavas made unsuccessful efforts to force their way into a stock room of a Vodafone store.
They left empty handed and shortly after entered a blue Ford Focus parked nearby.
Patrols were quickly at the scene and relayed the registration of the car to colleagues.
Within 40 minutes, the vehicle, which also contained the fourth suspect, had been located and stopped with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police near Welling, south London.
A 29-year-old man from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire and three teenage boys from south east London were arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken into custody.
They are currently bailed with conditions, as detectives continue to gather further evidence.
Witnesses who may be able to assist the investigation, including businesses and residents with CCTV and doorbell cameras and drivers with dashcam, are being urged to contact police.
Officers are particularly keen to retrieve any footage which may show the suspects’ movements between 4.20pm and 4.40pm, within areas of Beech Road, London Road and the High Street.
