Search warrants lead to three burglary suspects arrested

An investigation into burglaries across Medway and Maidstone has led to the execution of search warrants and the arrest of three suspects.
The searches, at addresses in London, followed reports of break-ins during July and August 2021.
Those detained are suspected to have travelled into Kent to steal cars having first stolen the keys from inside the victims’ homes.
On Wednesday 24 August, a 15-year-old boy from Dagenham was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
He was arrested after a Volkswagen Tiguan was reported stolen between 1am and 9am on Saturday 24 July in Jarrett Avenue, Wainscott. The teenager was later bailed to attend Medway Police Station on 8 September.
An 18-year-old man, also from Dagenham, was arrested in connection with a burglary between 3.45am and 4am on Wednesday 1 August in Kitchener Road, Strood.
The front door to the house was alleged to have been forced open before the suspects left empty handed. He was later released on bail to return to Medway Police Station on 21 September.
Investigators arrested a man in connection with a burglary in Spot Lane, Maidstone, between 10pm on Sunday 5 August and 4.10am on Monday 6 August. Car keys, two watches and a wallet were reported stolen along with a Jaguar from outside the premises.
Aaron Martin, 18, of New Road, Rainham, Essex, was charged on 25 August with one count of burglary. He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 26 August where he was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be determined.
