Investigators have arrested a suspected dealer and seized a machete in Maidstone.
On Tuesday 28 November 2023, officers were on patrol in Eccleston Road when they spotted a car they suspected was involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
The vehicle was subsequently located parked and unattended. The officers detained a man on foot for a search and seized two mobile phones before arresting him.
The car was also searched and the constables recovered a machete, cocaine and some cannabis. Quantities of cocaine, ketamine and MDMA were subsequently located at a storage unit.
Christopher Gisanrin, of Arundel Square, Maidstone was later charged by investigators from Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team, with five counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, two counts of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of a bladed article in a public place and disqualified driving.
The 30-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 1 December.
