Roads policing officers have brought a vehicle to a sudden stop after it was stolen in Maidstone.
The theft of the Toyota Hilux from an address near Sutton Road, reportedly happened on Friday 9 May 2025.
Two days later, the victim contacted Kent Police to advise a tracker was showing the vehicle being driven from Tonbridge towards Orpington.
Patrols were deployed and it was located as it travelled through the Dartford Crossing.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop for officers, they caused the Hilux to come to a halt on the M25, with the assistance of Essex Police.
A 24-year-old man from Orpington was arrested on suspicion of theft, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop for a police officer and criminal damage to police vehicles.
He was later conditionally bailed while the investigation into the circumstances is completed.
