Suspect arrested in connection with serious assaults in Gillingham

A suspect has been arrested in relation to two assaults in Gillingham which left victims with serious injuries.
It was reported to Kent Police that the incidents took place in an alleyway between Ingram Road and Woodlands Road shortly before 11pm on Monday 20 July 2026.
Assaults
A man and a teenage boy were walking towards Woodlands Road. It is alleged they were assaulted by a man coming from the direction of The Vineries, who left the scene in the same direction.
The man and the teenager attended a local hospital for treatment to injuries consistent with stab wounds. The boy remains receiving treatment while the man has since been discharged.
Officers attended and initial enquiries were completed.
On Wednesday 22 July 2026, a 33 year old British man from the local area was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody while enquiries continue.
