Investigators have arrested a suspect in connection with a reported robbery in Gillingham.
The incident happened in Watling Street near the junction with Barnsole Road, at around 8.40pm on Thursday 12 July 2025.
It is alleged the victim, who is in his 30s, was approached by three men who assaulted him and stole cash, a bank card and some trainers. The victim suffered cuts and bruises and the police were contacted.
Enquiries were completed, including the examination of CCTV in the area, and a suspect was arrested on Tuesday 29 July. The 40 year old local man was later bailed to return to the police station pending further investigation.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to the police, to contact them. Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage.
