Suspect charged after serious assault in Maidstone

A suspect has been charged following a serious assault in Maidstone.

Kent Police was called at 5.20pm on Wednesday 22 July 2026 to the incident at Brenchley Gardens.

Emergency services attended and a man was taken to a London hospital by paramedics for injuries consistent with stab wounds. He has since been discharged.

Arrests

Over the following 4 days, 4 men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Nathan Odgers, 40, of Brewer Street in Maidstone was charged on Sunday 26 July with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court the following day where he was remanded in custody. His next court appearance is at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 24 August.

Three other men, aged 22, 29 and 41, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
