A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal collision near Canterbury.
Kent Police was called at 12:55pm on Saturday 26 August 2023, to a two-vehicle collision on the A2050 near Harbledown.
At the junction near Faulkner’s Lane, a blue Mazda was involved in a collision with a motor-tricycle travelling towards the A2 from Canterbury.
Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service where the rider of the trike, a man in his 60s, was confirmed deceased.
Claudiu Patrascu, 44, of Gate Hill, Dunkirk, was arrested on Sunday 27 August and has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without consent, failing to stop following an accident, and failing to report an accident.
He was remanded and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 30 August.
