Suspect charged following investigation into class A drug line in Thanet

A suspect is to appear in court after officers found class A drugs believed to be worth more than £8,000 in Thanet.

An investigation by Kent Police was launched into a drug line suspected of supplying the east Kent area, which led to officers searching a car and a property in Margate on the afternoon of Monday 3 August 2026.

Phones, cash and a block of cocaine, worth an estimated street value of over £8,000, were seized by officers, as well as a quantity of cannabis. A man was arrested and taken into custody.

Charged

Blake Todd, 30, of Victoria Avenue, Margate, was later charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

He appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 4 August and was remanded. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
