Detectives investigating a serious assault of a man in Margate have charged a suspect.
Kent Police was called to a property in the High Street shortly after 12pm on Tuesday 16 June 2026, following reports of a serious assault.
Officers attended the scene where a 43-year-old man was found with injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital by paramedics and has since been discharged.
Connor Williams, 31, of Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, was arrested later that day and was later charged with attempted grievous bodily harm, robbery, and two other offences. Mr Williams has been remanded in custody and will appear before Canterbury Crown Court on 20 July 2026.
A 40-year-old man was arrested the same day in connection with the investigation. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and all parties are believed to be known to each other.
