A suspect has been charged in connection with an allegation of a serious sexual assault in Medway.
Detectives have been investigating a report that on Tuesday 20 August 2024 a woman who had been walking in the Great Lines Heritage Park was threatened and assaulted by an unknown male.
On Wednesday 28 August, a 16-year-old boy was arrested in the Sheerness area.
He has since been charged with attempted rape and remanded in custody.
The suspect will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 30 August.
