A suspect linked to a fatal firearms incident in Knockholt has now been formally identified.
On Friday 14 February 2025, Lisa Smith, 43, was killed after she was shot outside a pub in Main Road.
Enquiries by Kent Police established that the suspect was Edward Smith, who was married to Lisa.
Later that evening officers found his car abandoned on the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.
Mr Smith, 43, had fallen into the water below and his body was recovered from the River Thames on Friday 7 March.
An investigation into both deaths will now be led by the coroner.
Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate will assist the coronial process.
