A suspected burglar has been charged after a business in Gravesend was broken into twice.
At around 10.15pm on Christmas Eve a business in Railway Place was reported to have been burgled and a quantity of money stolen.
It is alleged that the same suspect returned in the early hours of Friday 6 January 2023 and stole cash during a break-in.
Officers investigating the burglaries arrested a man on Saturday 7 January. Following his arrest he was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
On the following day, Adrian Edwards of Parrock Street, Gravesend, was charged with two counts of burglary.
The 47-year-old was additionally charged with failing to provide a sample for a drugs test, criminal damage and three public order offences.
Mr Edwards appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court, by virtual court, on Monday 9 January where he was remanded in custody.
A further court appearance has not yet been determined.
