Constables patrolling the Rochester area have detained a man suspected of burgling a residential property.
Just prior to midnight on Monday 5 February 2024, officers from the Roads Policing Unit were alerted to a report that two men had been disturbed as they left a private storage area in Corporation Street.
With the assistance of CCTV operators, the patrol attended Esplanade where two men on bikes were pursued through a park area.
One of them was tracked down and arrested. The officers also seized a suspected stolen motorcycle helmet and a mountain bike.
An 18-year-old man from Erith, Greater London was later bailed with conditions not to enter Kent, while enquiries continue into the incident.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who believes the recovered bike is theirs to contact them on 01634 792209, quoting crime reference 46/20182/24.
