Two men have been charged following a pursuit along the A2 near Gravesend.
On Tuesday 27 August 2024, a resident living near Snodland Road, Snodland, reported a break-in and the theft of a Mercedes using keys taken from inside his house.
At around 5.20am on the same day, officers in an unmarked vehicle saw the car on the A2.
The constables required the driver to stop using their blue lights and sirens. The Mercedes continued towards London, allegedly being driven in a dangerous manner.
Patrols caused the vehicle to stop and two men were arrested by officers with the assistance of a police dog.
Kion Carter-Adams, of Hollydown Way, Leytonstone, Greater London, and Joel Adekunle, of Chingwell Road, South Woodford, Greater London, were later charged by detectives with burglary and theft.
Mr Carter-Adams was also charged with dangerous driving. The suspects, both aged 20, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 28 August. They were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
