Neighbourhood officers have been working closely with Dartford retailers to clamp down on shoplifting.
Between Wednesday 1 January and Saturday 11 January 2025, employees at the Co-op in Oldfield Place, reported three separate incidents of theft.
Quantities of food and confectionary were allegedly stolen with a value exceeding £100.
Local constables investigated each incident and reviewed CCTV footage from the shop.
On Monday 13 January, patrols tracked down a suspect and arrested him in Holly Road.
Jamie Hopkins, of no fixed address, was later charged with three thefts and three breaches of his criminal behaviour order.
The 40-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 14 January.
