Suspected Deal burglar charged with multiple offences

A suspected burglar from Deal has been charged with multiple offences after several addresses in the town were targeted.
It was reported to Kent Police that a burglary took place at a property in Albert Road in the early hours of 5 July 2026. Around £800 in cash was alleged to have been stolen.
A further break-in was reported on 18 July in Ripple, where parcels were taken from a porch on Mongeham Road.
Enquiries were carried out, including reviewing CCTV and examining forensic evidence. An arrest was later made in the Sholden area.
Suspect charged
On 26 August, Joshua Plant, of Grace Walk, was charged with two counts of burglary.
He was also charged with aggravated vehicle taking, making off without payment and two driving offences, in relation to a report of a car being stolen from Mill Road on 17 July.
Mr Plant, 24, was remanded in custody to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court later that day.
