Four people have been arrested following reports of an attempted theft of a JCB in Sevenoaks.
On Thursday 22 January 2026 at 8.15pm, Kent Police received a report to say three men had allegedly cut a fence and entered an industrial site in West Kingsdown.
Officers attended and found a JCB digger being driven from the premises, in what is believed to be an attempt to steal it.
The suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
With the assistance of the National Police Air Service and Kent Police dog PD Boss, a man was swiftly tracked down and arrested.
A wider search of the area by officers identified two vehicles that were believed to be linked to the incident and a further three people, a woman and two men, were detained.
All four were later bailed while enquiries into the incident are completed.
