Patrolling officers have arrested a suspected drug dealer in Gillingham.
Constables from Medway’s Community Safety Unit were near Woodlands Road on Wednesday 6 December 2023, when a man came to their attention.
His behaviour led them to suspect he was involved in the supply of drugs and he was stopped for a search in an alleyway.
The officers recovered a quantity of cash, deals of suspected cocaine, a mobile phone and a lock-knife. The suspect was arrested at 10.15am and taken into custody.
Daniel Ayomidele, of no fixed address, was later charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply and possessing a knife in a public place.
The 20-year-old appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 7 December where he was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday 4 January 2024.
