Suspected class A drugs have been seized and an arrest made by police in Ramsgate.
On the morning of Wednesday 11 September 2024, officers attended a property in the Newington area of the town and carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
During the search an estimated £2,000 worth of suspected cocaine was found by officers, as well as cannabis, weighing scales, a quantity of cash, mobile phones and nitrous oxide cannisters.
A 29-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply. The man has been bailed and the investigation is ongoing by detectives.
Detective Sergeant Adam Franks said: ‘Drug dealing is not welcome in Thanet, and our officers continually work to gather evidence, identify offenders and disrupt this illegal trade. ‘If you believe drug dealing and associated criminality is taking place in your street, report it to us via our website (or 999 if a crime is in progress) so we can work together to keep Thanet safe.’
