Patrols have responded quickly after a delivery driver reported he had been robbed in Gravesend.
The incident happened in London Road at around 8.40pm on Friday 10 November 2023.
The victim was approached by a man who is alleged to have threatened him with a knife, before getting into the vehicle with him and stealing his wallet.
Kent Police was alerted soon after the incident and patrols attended the scene. A suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Jimmy Lee, 35, of York Road, Northfleet, was later charged with kidnap, robbery and possession of a bladed object in a public place.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 11 November, where he was remanded to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday 8 December.
