Four teenagers have been charged with robbery following an alleged assault in Canterbury city centre.
On Sunday 19 October 2025 at 8.10pm Kent Police was called to a robbery in progress near to Whitefriars. Witnesses said they had seen a man being assaulted by a group.
A 20 year old man was found to have suffered injuries that required him to attend a local hospital. He has since been discharged. A number of possessions were also taken from the victim, including a phone and bag.
It is understood that one of the suspects was known to the victim.
Officers were on the scene within minutes, but the suspects had made off before their arrival. Officers tracked down three of the men just five minutes after the initial call came in. The outstanding suspect was arrested at his home address 36 hours later.
As a result of their investigations, investigating officers have charged the following men with robbery:
All four suspects were remanded in custody and appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 21 October. They have since been bailed and will appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 24 November.
