A man accused of shoplifting in Maidstone allegedly stole more than £300 of items from two stores in the town centre.
Kent Police was made aware of a theft from Poundland in Week Street, which occurred at 8.55am on Tuesday 26 November 2024.
Reportedly a man entered the store and took more than £30 of washing items before leaving without paying.
At around 4.30pm on the same day, a man matching the same description is alleged to have stolen frozen products from Food Warehouse in London Road.
Jack Davenport, 30, of no fixed address, was arrested on 28 November and charged the following day with theft.
He has since been bailed pending a hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 25 January 2025.
