Parcels believed to have been stolen from residents of a block of flats have been recovered and a suspected thief promptly arrested in Medway.
Kent Police was called at 10.23pm on Tuesday 4 February 2025, to a report of a burglary in progress at an apartment block near to Maritime Way in Chatham.
Officers attended and a man in his 30s from Bethnal Green, London was detained. A search of the area led to the recovery of two parcels and enquiries identified that several packages left in communal areas had allegedly been opened and the contents stolen.
The suspect was later bailed while the investigation continues. Officers are appealing to anyone with relevant information to contact Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting 46/20135/25.
