A suspected burglar has appeared in court following an investigation into a Tunbridge Wells burglary.
Kent Police received a report that between Saturday 31 December 2022 and Sunday 1 January 2023, a house in Dornden Drive, Langton Green was targeted and a car along with jewellery and other property was stolen.
Detectives from the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad completed enquiries into the break-in and the victim’s car was later recovered from a road in Addington.
On Wednesday 11 January a man and a woman were detained. The arresting officers also seized a flick knife.
Christopher Grinham, of Kings Walk, South Croydon, Greater London was later charged with burglary, theft of a car, possession of a flick knife, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
The 43-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 12 January where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 9 February.
A 43-year-old woman from South Croydon was bailed to 8 March.
