Three suspected robbers have been charged after a vulnerable man was reportedly targeted in Gillingham.
Kent Police was made aware of the incident in the High Street near its junction with Canterbury Street, shortly after 11pm on Thursday 16 January 2025.
The victim, who was using a mobility scooter, was approached by a group of people whilst he was outside a shop.
It is alleged he was assaulted and a mobile phone, tablet and a quantity of cash were stolen.
Officers attended and carried out initial enquiries. An investigation led to the arrest of three men in connection with the incident on Tuesday 28 January.
The following day, Dean Martin, of Sidney Road, Rochester; Ghasem Ghalti, of Victoria Street, Gillingham and Hayden Inglis, of no fixed address were each charged with robbery.
Mr Martin, 36, Mr Ghalti, 50, and Mr Inglis, 31, were remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court later that day.
