Six members of a suspected criminal gang have been charged in connection with a cocaine network running from the south-west of England to Tunbridge Wells.
The men were arrested following allegations they were all involved in a drugs supply chain using mobile phones and postcodes, and which included deliveries to areas across Tonbridge.
On Friday 10 May 2024, an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate led to the execution of search warrants at several addresses, including a property in Swindon, Wiltshire.
The enforcement resulted in the seizure of 28 mobile phones, two swords and quantities of cocaine and cash.
The following six men were detained and later charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs:
Cosmin Vlas, 34, of London Road, Grays, Essex; Leutrim Bardhoshi, 24, of Ascham Road, Swindon; Sabre Arnaut, 27, of Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells; Sait Arnaut, 23, of Goods Station Road, Tunbridge Wells; Mehmed Mola, 21, of Jackwood Way, Tunbridge Wells; Georgi Dimitrov, 24, of Maidstone Road, north London.
On Saturday 11 May, the suspects all appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court and were remanded into custody.
The next hearing is scheduled for Maidstone Crown Court on 7 June.
Two further suspects, a man aged 30 and a woman aged 20, were also arrested.
They are currently bailed, pending further enquiries, to return to a police station on 7 August.
