Swanscombe stabber jailed for unprovoked wounding

A stabbing in Swanscombe has led to a man being jailed.

Kent Police was called to a man in his 30s who had been stabbed in an alleyway off Gunn Road at 6.57pm on 23 March 2026.

Daniellis Pasilis had spoken to the victim, who he knew, minutes earlier. Upon seeing him a second time, and without provocation, he produced a large knife and slashed his thigh before stabbing his forearm.

The victim lost a large quantity of blood and required hospital treatment for his wounds.

A large-scale search was initiated for 19 year old Pasilis, who handed himself in at North Kent Police Station on 25 March.

Court

Two days later, he was charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in public.

Pasilis, of Phoenix Court, Northfleet, admitted to both offences at Woolwich Crown Court on 1 May. He was sentenced at the same court on Monday 13 July to 2 years and 8 months in a Young Offender Institution.

Investigating officer Police Constable Jared Williams said:

‘This horrific attack could well have killed the victim had emergency services not responded so quickly. ‘The fact it was unprovoked highlights just what a dangerous man Pasilis is. ‘What should have been a normal walk to the shop ended in a terrifying incident that will last in the victim’s mind for a long time. We are satisfied his attacker is facing the consequences of his actions.’
