A large quantity of cigarettes have been recovered by officers following the arrest of a suspected burglar in a village near Ashford.
Kent Police was called to Sellindge at 12.52am on Monday 23 September 2024 after a break-in was reported at the Co-Op store on Main Road.
Officers attended and, after carrying out enquiries at the scene, arrested a man in the area shortly afterwards, on suspicion of burglary.
A holdall was seized that was found to contain several packets of cigarettes, other tobacco products and alcohol.
The man remains in custody pending further enquiries.
