Swift arrest in connection with Dover car crime

Swift work by officers in Dover has led to an arrest being made following a report that cars had been tampered with.

Kent Police was called to Folkestone Road just before 4.30am on Friday 31 July 2026. It was reported that vehicles in the area had been targeted and a suspect left the scene on foot.

Arrest made

Officers attended and initial enquiries were completed. Shortly afterwards, a man from the local area was detained. A chisel was also seized.

The 32 year old was arrested and taken into custody.

Ongoing investigation

An investigation is ongoing and officers are keen to hear from those who may be able to assist.
