Swift charges for suspected Ashford alloy wheel thief

Charges have been swiftly secured against a suspected thief after car wheels were taken from a rural Ashford village.

It was reported to Kent Police on the afternoon of Friday 14 August 2026 that tyres and alloy rims had been stolen from an East Brabourne address that morning.

Wheels recovered

Neighbourhood officers made enquiries, including reviewing CCTV and speaking with witnesses, and an arrest was made on Saturday 15 August in the Faversham area.

Searches were carried out, which led to the recovery of a quantity of suspected cocaine. Further work successfully recovered the alloy wheels nearby, which have been returned to the victim.

Suspect charged

Nathan Parker, of Springhead Road, Faversham, was charged later that day with theft of alloy wheels, possession of cocaine and driving offences.

He was also charged in relation to the theft of chocolate and alcohol, alleged to have been stolen from Faversham Co-op on 17 June.

Mr Parker, 33, was bailed to appear before Margate magistrates at a later date.
