Swift charges for suspected Whitstable drug dealer

A suspected drug dealer has been arrested, charged and brought before a court in less than 48 hours.

Officers on patrol in Canterbury on Tuesday 25 August 2026 identified a vehicle of interest and signalled for it to stop. The driver allegedly failed to comply and instead made off from officers.

The following morning, officers attended an address and arrested Cameron Neal in connection with the incident the previous evening. Patrols also seized a set of scales, small bags, multiple mobile phones, £1,740 in cash, and a quantity of cocaine and cannabis.

Neal, 23, of Meteor Avenue, Whitstable, was charged overnight with five offences, including failing to stop and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He was remanded in custody and appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 August. He was further remanded into custody and will next appear before Canterbury Crown Court on 28 September 2026.
