A police pursuit in Dartford led to the arrest of two boys and the recovery of stolen motorbikes.
Officers were on patrol on Tuesday 31 January 2023, when they saw two people riding what they suspected were stolen bikes at around 11am. The riders were pursued with the assistance of officers from the Metropolitan Police.
One bike was brought to a stop in Oakfield Lane and a teenage boy was arrested at the scene.
With the help of the police helicopter, a second boy was pursued on foot through woodland and eventually detained. Both motorbikes were seized.
The boys, aged 14 and 17 from Dartford, were arrested on suspicion of theft, handling stolen goods, dangerous driving, failing to stop and for driving without a licence or insurance. They have both been released on police bail until 11 April 2023 whilst enquiries continue.
